Debbie Haught

Debbie HaughtDebbie Haught is a program manager in the US Department of Energy Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability’s Research and Development Division, which leads DOE’s efforts to modernize the electric grid through the development and implementation of national policy pertaining to electric grid reliability and the management of research, development and demonstration activities for “next generation” electric grid infrastructure technologies. She is currently responsible for the overall program management of the Recovery Act Smart Grid Investment Grant (SGIG) program. Prior to joining DOE, Debbie worked at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in White Oak, Maryland. She received her B.S. degree in chemical engineering from Virginia Tech and her master’s degree in materials science from the University of Virginia. She holds 9 U.S. patents.
