Wenyuan Li

Wenyuan LiWenyuan Li, an IEEE fellow, is a principal engineer at BC Hydro in Canada, a professor with Chongqing University in China and an adjunct professor with Simon Fraser University in Canada. He has published five books and over 170 papers in power system reliability, probabilistic applications and system operations. He has received several prestigious awards including the IEEE PES Roy Billinton Power System Reliability Award (2011), the International Merit Award of the Probabilistic Methods Applied to Power Systems Society (2012) and the Electric Power Medal from the IEEE Canada (2014). He is a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and the Engineering Institute of Canada, and an editor of the IEEE Transactions on Power Systems and the IEEE Power Engineering Letters. He graduated from Tsinghua University in 1968 and received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Chongqing University in 1982 and 1987.
