Mihaela Albu

Mihaela AlbuMihaela Albu, an IEEE senior member, is currently a Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, and a founding member of Mic roDERLab, Politehnica University of Bucharest. She is a member of DERlab, European Distributed Energy Resources Laboratories e. V., andserved as the VP of Membership (2011), Technical and Standards Activities (2012-2013) within the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society. She is a member of the Microgrids Symposium Steering Committee,various standardization committees, and the CIGRE Working Group B5-41: Investigation of possibilities to improve metering systems for billing purposes in substations. Her research interests include distributed measurement systems, dc and hybrid microgrids, power quality, and control strategies in active distribution networks. She received M.S.E.E. and Ph.D. degrees in power engineering from Politehnica University of Bucharest, Bucharest, Romania
