Erich Gunther

Erich GuntherErich W. Gunther, an IEEE fellow, is a cofounder, Chairman and CTO of EnerNex in Knoxville, Tenn., Past Chairman of the IEEE Power & Energy Society’s Intelligent Grid Coordinating Committee, Chairman Emeritus of the Department of Energy’s GridWise Architecture Council, and a member at large of the PES Governing Board. The recipient of numerous IEEE and PES working group awards, he also was honored with the GridWeek technology leadership award in 2007, 2008 and 2010. He earned his master’s degree in electric power engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1984.
