Varun Chandola

Varun ChandolaVarun Chandola is a research scientist in the Computational Sciences and Engineering Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota in 2009. His research interests include large-scale data mining and machine learning. His expertise is in the area of anomaly detection in massive and complex data sets. He is the author of the widely cited survey on anomaly detection, published in ACM Computing Surveys, and a survey on anomaly detection for discrete sequences, published in IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering. He is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
