Jim Green

Jim GreenJim Green is Assistant Director of Energy Management at the University of Minnesota’s Twin Cities Campus. He is responsible for energy efficiency, facilities engineering and building automation. He completed a 27-year naval career in 2008, when he retired from the U.S. Navy with the rank of captain. As a Navy Engineering Duty Officer, Green served in various roles at ship building and ship repair facilities, led and managed the operation of aircraft carrier propulsion plants and commanded a ship repair facility. He earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota and his master’s in mechanical engineering at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.
