March Issue of IEEE Smart Grid Newsletter Now Available via IEEE Smart Grid Portal

The March edition of the IEEE Smart Grid Newsletter is now available on the IEEE Smart Grid Web Portal. This issue's articles examine the need for retail energy markets, and how microgrids and data aggregation methods will contribute to power system reliability and privacy protection. Contributing authors are from global industry and academia, and bring practical experience and knowledge in power market design, power system security, security engineering, system engineering, and information management.

IEEE Xplore® Digital Library Reaches Three Million Documents

PISCATAWAY, N.J., 31 August/PRNewswire/ -The IEEE Xplore digital library, one of the world’s largest collections of high quality technical literature in engineering and technology, recently added its three millionth document to its vast digital library. "Protecting Smart Grid Automation Systems Against Cyberattacks," which appears in the current issue of IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, reflects a sample of the diverse technical disciplines represented in the collection. It took five years to grow the IEEE Xplore repository from one million to two million documents; and less than two-and-a-half years to reach this latest milestone.
