On Feb. 19, 2014 at the Grand Hyatt Washington Hotel in Washington, D.C., U.S. Energy Secretary Dr. Ernest Moniz addressed Innovative Smart Grid Technologies (ISGT) Conference attendees on grid modernization challenges,

cybersecurity and more. He also covered the current progress and importance of the U.S. Department of Energy's Smart Grid Investment Grant Projects, such as peak-demand reductions for electricity customers in Oklahoma and in New Jersey for citizens recovering from Superstorm Sandy.
