Committees

IEEE Smart Grid has the resources and organization that enables it to execute its strategy to meet the needs of its stakeholders and fulfill its mission and vision. IEEE members and nonmembers in the global power, energy, communications and IT/computing industries, as well as government and academia, are encouraged to participate in the IEEE Smart Grid Initiative.

Because of the many relationships currently in place, it is assumed that most of the initial contacts regarding IEEE Smart Grid will be done directly involving a combination of email, phone and face to face conversations. Volunteers are supported in all contacts and follow up by IEEE staff. It will be incumbent on all volunteers to communicate their activity to the Project Manager.

IEEE Smart Grid will engage its volunteers in an array of different subcommittees, including:

  1. Education
  2. Marketing
  3. Operations
  4. Publications
  5. R&D
  6. Technical Activities
  7. Steering
  8. Meetings
